TUI targets more vacations with trips to Malta, Spain, Italy and Egypt canceled

The UK’s largest tour operator TUI has announced a new round of holiday cancellations despite the government’s confirmation of a relaxation of the regulations for Covid testing before the mid-term school break.

From Monday 4th October fully vaccinated passengers and children under 18 traveling with their vaccinated parents will not be required to take a pre-departure test before arriving in England and later in October the PCR test. of day 2 will be replaced by a lateral flow test.

Some holiday destinations – such as Portugal – have their own entry requirements which may vary and the operator recommends that customers consult the advice of the UK Foreign Office for their destination country.

Details on cancellations can be found below. Due to continued travel uncertainty, the following destinations have been canceled by TUI:

Until October 16 included:

Egypt (Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh) and Jamaica

Until October 21 included:

Cape Verde, Cuba, Dominican Republic and Mexico

Bulgaria (Varna and Bourgas)

Costa Rica

Florida

Italy (Calabria, Sardinia and Sicily)

Mainland Spain (Almeria and Girona)

Malta

Montenegro

Thailand

Tunisia

TUI said, “If we need to cancel a vacation due to updated government guidelines, or after reviewing our vacation schedule, we will contact customers and try to give at least seven days notice. .
