Lufthansa Economy Class passengers on European flights can now choose from a range of high-quality “Onboard Delights”, a culinary assortment available on European cross-border flights lasting 60 minutes.
With this offer, Lufthansa meets the demands of its customers for fresh, quality and sustainable food and drink products.
At Lufthansa’s hubs in Frankfurt and Munich, meals are prepared daily by catering company Gate Gourmet, all according to recipes from dean & david, a successful young gastronomy company. Based in Munich, Dean & David are known for their exceptional quality and sense of responsibility.
So the company is not only committed to the responsible use of food and against packaging waste, but has also already signed a voluntary meat / fish reduction pledge this year, according to a statement from Lufthansa.
Lufthansa is also extending its long-standing cooperation with Cafe Dallmayr. The traditional Munich-based company will provide confectionery and pastry specialties, as well as hot drinks, for “Onboard Delights”. The products on offer include a special Ethiopian coffee, the proceeds of which are linked to the support of various humanitarian projects in the Dano region.
In addition, there is a large selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as plenty of snacks. Fresh products are available from 5.50 euros, coffee and tea at 3 euros, soft drinks (500 ml) or beer (330 ml) at 3.50 euros. Small snacks are available from 2 euros.
