Lufthansa Technik provides full component support services for Japan Airlines Boeing 787 fleet
Lufthansa Technik and Japan Airlines have further strengthened their trusted partnership by extending a long-term Total Component Support Services (TCS) agreement for Japan Airlines’ Boeing 787 fleet.
The five-year TCS contract covers several components installed on Japan Airlines’ Boeing 787 fleet of 53 aircraft. The services to be provided include maintenance, reliability monitoring, reliability improvement programs as well as logistics services.
Kojiro Yamashita, senior vice president of purchasing at Japan Airlines, said: “We have signed a contract with Lufthansa Technik as a partner who shares and respects the value JAL provides to customers, safe and stable operation. At the same time, JAL respects Lufthansa Technik‘s commitment to even more advanced and high-quality maintenance. JAL is confident that this contract will maintain our strong partnership in the future.. “
Thomas Boettger, Senior Vice President Corporate Sales Asia Pacific at Lufthansa Technik, added: “We are very proud and honored to extend our services with complete MRO solutions for the Japan Airlines Boeing 787 fleet based on the achievements of the past 10 years. We will work closely as partners to ensure the highest safety and reliability at all times. And I believe we will overcome and recover from the difficult times we face and deepen our collaborative relationship even further in the future.. “
With the renewed agreement, Japan Airlines and Lufthansa Technik maintain their successful relationship which already includes a variety of MRO services. Among others, Lufthansa Technik has been providing TCS services for the Japan Airlines Boeing 787 fleet since 2011 and the Airbus A350 fleet since 2018.
