Protecting human health is the top priority
Airports in central Germany have already taken important steps to protect the health of passengers, visitors, partners and employees after the first lockdown last year.
People must wear a face mask in the terminals. Vending machines are available in front of buildings and people can buy FFP2 masks there.
Protective plastic panels have been installed at check-in counters and for boarding pass controls. Monitors, signs and announcements remind passengers and visitors to comply with the rules of behavior and hygiene. Markings have also been put on the ground to remind people of the current social distancing rules in the check-in area and during security checks, for example. Seats are also provided with distance markers.
Passengers must also wear a face mask during flights. They should obtain information on the current regulations in advance from their airline or tour operator. The same applies to the conditions of entry into the country of destination and the hygiene rules that apply there.
