Mobility provider Free2Move announced the addition of Austin, TX to its list of mobility hubs.

Austin residents can now see the Free2Move fleet of 100 Jeep Renegade vehicles parked on city streets and can reserve one through the Free2Move app for minute, daily, or monthly rentals. The announcement says Free2Move has prioritized Austin as a mobility hub due to the city’s commitment to bringing additional mobility services to its community.

The Free2Move Austin Mobility Hub will focus on:

  • Carpooling and rental – With services ranging from a few minutes to seven days, users can access vehicles parked in the Free2Move service area; customers can leave the service area and suspend their trip, as long as the trip ends in the designated service area; parking, gas and insurance are included.
  • Car on demand – For a monthly subscription, without long-term commitment; all-inclusive service with 24/7 maintenance, insurance and assistance, all at one price; the cars will be delivered to the customer’s door.

The Free2Move Austin vehicle fleet will grow to 150 cars in the coming weeks. With over 50,000 university students in the Austin area, Free2Move says its customer base in the new market is impressive. In addition to business-to-consumer services, Free2Move offers special offers to businesses, including promo codes to encourage employees to use the new mobility solution.
