Since April 2022 Daimler Truck, DB Schenker, Lufthansa Cargo, Lufthansa Innovation Hub, ONOMOTION and time: matters have all offered Masters graduates the opportunity to work on solutions for a more sustainable and forward-looking action in the field of logistics and mobility.

The new program for graduates of the Master called “Green Mobility Trainee” is the first program of its kind; interns will have the chance to gain insight into different businesses while focusing on a sustainable industry. During the two-year program period, participants will work on four projects each at different partner companies – from start-ups to internationally active companies. They will immerse themselves in the latest trends in sustainability and learn about the challenges of the mobility and logistics industry. In doing so, the trainees will acquire the necessary tools to provide solutions for a sustainable change towards a green economy. Thanks to the participation of a wide variety of parties within supply chains, a wide range of topics will be presented – from improving networking between companies to more efficient transport routes and alternative fuels, such as fuel, sustainable aviation.

Deutsche Lufthansa AG provided the idea for the program, while the Lufthansa Innovation Hub is responsible for coordination and content. The program offers many benefits for both trainees and participants. In addition to individual business challenges, trainees will learn about different ways of working, solution approaches and corporate cultures. In addition, they have the great opportunity to participate in the development of a “greener mobility industry”.

This program is the first of its kind to apply the idea of the shared economy to talent management. The companies designed the program together and will jointly select the interns. In turn, they will benefit from talents who will develop a transversal understanding of the entire mobility industry with different business models and integrated solutions.

By participating in the program, partner companies underline their commitment to a forward-looking and more sustainable industry and assume their responsibility to minimize the impact of their business activities on the environment. Every business has very different challenges, but what unites them all is the task of developing solutions for sustainable and forward-looking action. Collaboration, exchange and mutual learning are this basic attitude, which is systematically applied in this concept of talent.

From Friday 15 October to Monday 15 November, interested Master graduates can apply via the homepage www.greenmobilitytrainee.de. The internship program will start on April 1, 2022.
